Cat tracks show four toes on the forefoot and four toes on the hindfoot. Cats' claws are retractable so claw marks do not show. The two front toes in a cat track are not aligned right next to each other. The inner toe is also set further forward than the outer toe of the pair.
Note the forefeet and hindfeet pattern in the gait, with the paws placed either side of the mid line.
