Understorey (less than 3m)

Hares tend to prefer larger leafed plants, like griselinia. The stems have been bitten off bitten off at a 45⁰ angle, characteristic of hares and rabbits and the bark on the larger stems in the background has also been chewed off.

Note the smaller leaves left at the base of the plant and some of the larger leaves left lying.
