Dama wallaby

The larger medial (middle) toe and smaller peripheral (outer) toe make the distinctive two-pronged prints. The small inner-most toe bears little weight and is used for grooming. The long hind foot pad (behind the toes to the heel) rarely shows in prints, as it flattens out onto the ground only when the animal is moving slowly and usually only the front part shows, where weight is transferred as the foot pivots forward.
