Bite marks

Mouse chewcard by LandcareRes

Mouse bite marks on a chewcard.

Mice will typically leave a comparatively smooth, though gnawed, edge to the card (compared to the more jagged edge left by rats). They remove material from one side only of the card, leaving a band of gnawed material where broad gouges made by the incisor teeth can be seen.
